This is Chimot a Festival Chilemonos pet, I create as a rig for a Animated challenge in 2024



180°rotation views

At first I wanted to create this rig based solely on my animation idea, but I ended up finishing it almost completely. It included envelope deformation and 5 view rotation






Master controllers and

 independent eyes handles

I create a quickly Master controller, just to make faster animation, in this challenge the time it was the most important thing.

A square head made aniamtion difficult, so I create several keyframe to have a complete MC. Then, all that was left was to create 2 slider MC for the body, interpolated and stepped rotations.






Library

For hands and feet, I added drawing substitutions on base at the animation movement that will be use.

Hands has 2 layers on each one, to make a pinch action, so the "sync layer" mode was the best option, as all the layer will be changed simultaneously.





Node view setup

Lookin into inside the rig, all the nodes was worked outside of groups to make them easier and faster to acces

With different composite and display nodes for MC nodes, to have a independent camera view in animation process
